A theorist's handbook to conspiracies

Confusion tactic #1: Gatekeeping

Gatekeeping is when real info is mixed in with disinformation to contain people who would otherwise know too much.

A good example is THIS video.
It contains a lot of baloney info (imo)
(such as space being real),
but it also contains video footage of Stonehenge being built with modern cranes that run on oil...

This is why its sometimes a good idea to investigate a video that you might suspect contains false info.

Common tactic #2: Just plain disinformation

The title says it all.

Some theories are just complete baloney.
A good example that comes to mind for me is the "pole shift" theory. (since it only makes sense if the earth was actually a ball in space)

Look it up if you want to know more about it.

Finding deleted websites on archive sites:

Know your sites: Here's a couple: web.archive.org, and archive.is

Now, if you ever want to browse through an archived site normally, but no one has archived the entire site, and all the links are broken, then all you need to do is go to this address on the website:

"sitemap.xml" OR "sitemap.html".

This should give you a list of all the browsable links on that site. But not always though, since it requires that someone have archived that link.
